How to Overcome Scary Parenting Moments

Parenting can be scary! Am I right!?

Before I had kids I had a picture perfect image in my head. Rainbows and unicorns and raising my babies.

But, there definitely are those scary days as a mother. Days where you just have to take a deep breath and live in the moment.

Conquering Parent Survival Mode

Here are some particularly scary parenting moments and how to overcome them:

Spills– Ugh spills are the worst. Especially spilled juice.Have you ever had dark juice spilled on a light carpet… at your in-laws house?

Solution: Deep breath– No matter where you are you can try to clean the stain with some warm water, vinegar, baking soda, carpet cleaner. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. At the end of the day it’s just another stain and you are bound to have several in your life of raising kiddos.

No Diapers– Oh No! Everyone in the house suddenly has the flu and you’ve run out of diapers. This is definitely a situation that I’ve encountered. Running to the store with tissues stuck up my nose to get diapers. Something I should’ve stocked up on in the first place.

Solution: Stock up on diapers mama because you never know when you are going to be in an emergency situation with no diapers.I make sure I have diapers everywhere. In my purse, car, stroller. That way I won’t forget.Buy a huge box of Pampers at Sam’s Club to save money and have a huge supply.

Don’t miss a $3 off deal at Sams Club on every box of Pampers diapers and wipes. Plus, free shipping if you order online! My favorites are the new 2x softer Pampers Swaddlers and the new best fitting Pampers Cruisers with 3-way fit. And don’t forget the Pampers Sensitive wipes – you can literally never have enough.

Extra Clothes- Just like running out of diapers not having extra clothes can be a nightmare.Baby blowouts and spit ups can happen when you least expect it. You don’t want to be caught off guard with no extra clothes. Especially if you are at a special event like a birthday party or play date.Solution: Make sure to always have an extra set of clothes on-hand. I do this for my baby and my toddler who just got potty trained.

No Snacks– Are your kids always hungry like mine? I can’t tell you how many times we are out and the whining starts. My kids want snacks and they want them now.Solution: Take healthy snacks on the go. I like to keep a case of water bottles in my van and have some granola bars in my purse for any hungry kids. My baby is eating solids now, so I’ll keep a few baby food pouches handy for him.

What is your scariest parenting moment? How do you deal with it? Tell me about it in the comments below!
