Loaded BBQ Pulled Pork Tater Tots – Perfect Game Day Family Meal!

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Kraft Heinz/Georgia Pacific®.

Want to make an awesome game day meal your family will love? My Loaded BBQ Pulled Pork Tots are always a hit with adults and kids.

In our family, having good party food is just as important as the game itself. Having yummy appetizers, main dishes and desserts makes it a whole event!

This year we will have a smaller family-only gathering for game day. But, it’s still going to be super delicious! If you are planning a small game day too, this recipe is perfect for you because you can use the leftover pork for future meals.

What should I make for game day?

Make your game day meal easy with a simple recipe like my Loaded BBQ Pulled Pork Tots below.

This recipe is perfect for game day and is so versatile since you can adjust it to feed a smaller crowd!

I love keeping it easy with Dixie®  Everyday Plates too. These plates are so cute, but sturdy, so you won’t have to worry about cleaning up any unexpected messes. Plus, no dishes, so all you have to worry about is family, fun, and game day!

Stock up on all of your game day items at Walmart to make it quick and easy with great prices. I use Walmart Grocery Pickup, which is a lifesaver that I am so happy to have. They just load all my groceries in the back of my van, so I don’t have to worry about even going in the store.

How can I make the Best Pulled Pork Tots?

Loaded BBQ Pulled Pork Tots can be easy and amazing with simple favorites like Kraft®  Original Barbecue Sauce! The coleslaw on top is just as easy with staples we always find in our fridge, Heinz® Yellow Mustard and Kraft® Mayonnaise.

Prep Time: 15 min

Cook Time: 45 min

Total Time: 1 hour

Makes 12 servings

  • 1 package (32 ounces) ORE-IDA Tater Tots
  • ½ cup KRAFT Monterey Jack Shredded Cheese
  • ¾ cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
  • 16 ounces cooked pork shoulder, shredded
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons HEINZ Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon HEINZ Yellow Mustard
  • 2 cups coleslaw blend (cabbage slaw mix)
  • Pepper, to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Bake tater tots according to package instructions.
  3. Keep tots on baking sheet or transfer to a casserole dish or cast-iron skillet. Sprinkle cheese on top of tots and heat in oven for 10 minutes to melt.
  4. If you just cooked your pork and it’s still warm, you can add BBQ sauce right into the shredded pork and spread evenly on top of tots. If the pork has been refrigerated, place the pork in a skillet over low heat for 5 minutes before adding the BBQ sauce.
  5. Combine sugar, mayo, apple cider vinegar and mustard in a large bowl; add coleslaw blend and toss together. Season with pepper to taste.
  6. Spread coleslaw evenly on top of tots.

Tips:

  • Make pulled pork quickly in a pressure cooker with 1 cup of cola and 1 cup of orange juice using your pressure cooker presets for timing, or approximately 15 minutes for every pound of meat.
  • If you’re serving a smaller gathering, use leftover pork for tacos, sandwiches or both later in the week! BBQ sauce is added to the pork after it’s cooked, so some of it can easily be repurposed.
