Delicious Cranberry Pecan Cheese Log | Easy Holiday Recipe

One thing I’ve really been enjoying lately is putting together charcuterie and appetizer platters. Making cheese logs/balls is the perfect way to create a center piece for these.

They are really easy to put together and serve at a holiday party, even if you have to take it on the go. You can make ahead and refrigerate overnight then set-up in the morning.

Grab club size First Street products at Smart & Final to save money on your Thanksgiving budget. I used their club size assorted crackers to serve with my cheese log and they were perfect and half the price of name brand!

How do you eat goat cheese logs?

Goat cheese logs can be served on a platter with pita chips, crackers, soft or hard bread, chips, or on a chartcuterie board with an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits, and veggies.

You can serve as an appetizer to snack on while you cook or during the big meal. Goat cheese logs are a crowd pleasing appetizer that look beautiful on any appetizer board or platter.

How do I make the perfect goat cheese log?

This Cranberry Pecan Goat Cheese log recipe is so easy and festive for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years!

If you have all the ingredients you can make it under 20 minutes, no baking necessary!

Ingredients:

  • 1 8oz Goat cheese log
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tbs melted butter
  • 1 1/2 tbs brown sugar
  • 1 tbs cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. In a medium size bowl mix together pecans, cranberries, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
  2. Lay a sheet of wax or parchment paper on a cookie sheet or cutting board and place your cheese log in the middle.
  3. Spoon your pecan mixture on top of the cheese log.
  4. Use the wax paper to help you roll the nut mixture all over your cheese log.
  5. Serve on a platter with crackers, bread, or pita chips.
