How can I make Shepherd’s Pie with frozen hash browns?

Making Shepherd’s Pie with frozen hash brown’s is just as yummy and even easier than using mashed potatoes.

I love this frozen foods hack because the hash browns give it a crispy topping. So yummy!

It’s a casserole style meal that will feed a large family and my kids love it! Plus it won’t take you much time to put these simple ingredients together for dinner in a hurry.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 16 oz package frozen veggies
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 30oz bag frozen hash browns

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large skillet brown hamburger with diced onion and garlic, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, frozen veggies, beef broth, and Italian seasoning to skillet.
  4. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl combine frozen hash browns, sour cream, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour your beef mixture into a casserole dish and spread out evenly.
  7. Spoon your hash brown mixture over your beef mixture in the casserole dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes
