Kids fruity breakfast smoothies are so easy to make before activities or school!
As a homeschooling family we are always on the go with dance classes, chess, and other extra curricular activities. So, I like to have something healthy that will energize my kids before these activities.
Smoothies are a healthy option for kids because it’s so easy to add fruits and veggies to them, which are great for kids!
It can be hard to get kids to eat their daily vegetables, but it’s easy to throw them into a smoothie without them knowing.
If you need a fast breakfast to make, smoothies can be easy to make in a rush. Especially if you prep your ingredients before-hand, ready to throw in a blender.
Yes! If your baby is eating solids, smoothies are a great way to introduce different flavors and textures to them. It’s also a great way to get them eating fruits and veggies!
While you should always consult your doctor if you have concerns. Smoothies are great for baby’s who are already eating solids. Try freezing your smoothie into a pop for your teething babe.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Here’s What To Do:
1. Put fruit in individual sealed sandwich bags as shown below
2. Put bags of fruit in the freezer for about 3 hours. (If you leave them longer than that they may be too frozen and have to thaw a bit)
3. Place frozen fruit in blender with 1 cup of Tampico
4. Blend it up at medium speed until mixed
5. Serve in a medium sized cup!
This smoothie comes out a reddish pink color! It only takes about 5 minutes to make after the fruit is frozen, easy for busy moms like me, and makes 2-3 smoothies. You could easily double the recipe if you need to make more.
We love making these with pancakes which are another favorite of our kids! You can use the same berries you use for the smoothie to put on top of the pancakes.
What veggies go in smoothies?
You can add veggies to this smoothie recipe! This is a great way to sneak a vegetable serving in for picky kids.
Spinach, avocado, zucchini, or kale would be great add ins. If you just add a bit your little ones won’t even notice!
Make sure to check out all the colorful flavors of Tampico so you can make your own Valentine’s Day breakfast smoothies this year!
