Best Loaded Chowder Fries Recipe

This post is sponsored by McCain Potatoes but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Loaded Chowder Fries have to be one of my new favorite appetizers!

The creamy chowder on top of crispy french fries is so yummy. I’ve had chowder fries a few times while we were traveling along the California coast and really wanted to try and recreate them with my clam chowder recipe.

Chowder fries are a crowd pleaser with my family! They are really easy to make for a game day party or family get together.

What do you eat loaded fries with?

You can eat loaded fries with your main meal as an appetizer. Loaded fries go great with burgers, hot dogs, or tri-tip for the big game or any party you would host at home.

Loaded fries can be made with lots of things from chili to carne asada and guac. One of my favorite ways to make loaded fries is with New England Clam Chowder!

McCain’s Fries are great for loaded fries! You can find them at Walmart in the frozen section.

These fries always come out so crispy and flavorful. I love that they stay crispy for loaded fries, even with all the ingredients loaded on top!

For this recipe I like to use McCain’s Extra Crispy Crinkle Fries, but they also have Seasoned Curly Fries and Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries.

Your loaded fries can have a whole different look and taste using the Seasoned Curly Fries or Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries. You could even serve a tray of both if you had a large party!

What goes good with cheese fries?

Lots of things go good with cheese fries. Make your cheese fries a little more exciting for your next parties with some of the loaded fry ideas listed above or using my loaded chowder fries recipe below.

Chowder fries taste amazing with cheese on top!

How do you make loaded chowder fries?

My favorite way to make chowder fries is using a leftover pot of chowder from the dinner the night before. I love being able to spread meals across a few days and soup stores great in the fridge.

Once you have the clam chowder, loaded chowder fries are really easy to put together.

  1. On an appetizer tray or individual trays layer clam chowder on top of the cooked french fries. Top with shredded cheese, green onions, and bacon.
