What is your favorite thing about dinner time?
For me it’s sitting down and eating dinner with my family. I love how family meals bring everyone together into the same room for some bonding time!
Dinner is a great time to catch up on everyone’s day at work and school without interruption. Not to mention the great memories to be made in the kitchen cooking together.
We love chicken and yesterday we made a family dinner together using Foster Farms Simply Raised Fresh Chicken. This chicken is locally raised with no antibiotics ever.
Foster Farms is currently celebrating The New Comfort Food. It’s all about getting comfortable with your food again because you know exactly where it came from. I love this message and thought it was seriously cool that the chicken we bought was raised right here in California.
Grilled Asian Chicken Salad
Asian Chicken Salad is a family favorite around here. It’s so simple to make, but it feeds a lot of people and sure is yummy! There isn’t a whole lot of ingredients either so shopping for this meal is easy.
When I made this meal yesterday I just had to get my husband in on the fun. This toddler mom can use all the help I can get!
I seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper and he threw them on the grill for me, making this meal 50% easier for me to cook.
Here’s What You Need
You can check out the ingredients I used above.
1 lb. Thin Sliced Breast Fillets- We used Foster Farms Simply Raised Fresh Chicken
1/2 red onion chopped
1/2 red bell pepper diced
1 bag coleslaw
1 cup of crispy asian noodles
1 cup of sliced cashews or almonds- We used cashews.
1 bottle of asian dressing
Salt & Pepper
Here’s What You Do:
Step 1: Lightly season chicken breast fillets with salt & pepper evenly on each side
Step 2: Grill chicken for 4 minutes per side or until cooked through (Or have your husband do it to make this meal easier on mom) :-P
Step 3: Cut or chop the grilled chicken into smaller slices
Step 4: In a large bowl combine coleslaw, chopped red onion, diced bell pepper, crispy asian noodles, cashews, and chicken.
Step 5: Stir in dressing and serve
*Alternatively you can serve the salad with the sliced chicken on top and dress each serving individually.
