One-Eyed Chocolate Dipped Licorice Monsters

Do your kids love making Halloween treats at home?

This has been one of our favorite things this year and we are so excited to partner up with Red Vines to share this great kid friendly Halloween recipe!

Our son Jonas just loves anything with chocolate. Of course it isn’t a spooky Halloween treat without incorporating eyeballs, these are always so fun for kids to put on!

This week we made One-Eyed Chocolate Dipped Licorice Monsters! An easy and fun Halloween treat that doesn’t have too many ingredients and can be quickly thrown together in a pinch.

(This post is sponsored by Red Vines. All content is my own.)

One-Eyed Chocolate Dipped Licorice Monsters

We made ours with Red Vines, a family favorite treat! I have to say the chocolate and the Red Vines taste amazing together. It was hard for me not to eat the whole batch.

I love these because they are quick, easy, and look so cute! For a gift or school party they easily fit into a Halloween Ziploc bag or container and won’t take you very long to make.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • One Large Bag of Red Vines
  • 1-Bar of Baking Chocolate or Melting Chocolate (We used milk chocolate.)
  • Wax or Parchment Paper
  • Your favorite Halloween Sprinkles & Eyeballs *Find in the baking or Halloween section

One-Eyed Chocolate Dipped Licorice Monsters

Here’s What to do:

Step 1: Melt your baking chocolate in a shallow bowl.

Step 2: Swirl a Red Vine in the melted baking chocolate. (Red Vines are flexible and I thought they were easier to coat in chocolate than pretzel sticks since you don’t really have to spoon the chocolate over.)

Step 3: Place your eyeball where you want it at the top of your Red Vine.

Step 4: Sprinkle with large Halloween sprinkles (the sugar sprinkles won’t show on milk chocolate).

Step 5: Lay your Red Vines in a parchment lined baking sheet, eyeball side up.

Step 6: Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chocolate has hardened.

One-Eyed Chocolate Dipped Licorice Monsters

You can serve them easily on a cute Halloween plate, in a bucket, jar, or cup.

If you are cooking with kids let them get in on the fun of dipping chocolate and putting on the eyeballs/sprinkles.
