8 Easy Ways to Treat Dad on a Budget | Low Cost Gifts for Father’s

This post is sponsored by Huggies, Pull-Ups, GoodNites but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Father’s Day is right around the corner, but there are many times during the year when we can treat dad and make him feel special.

Dad’s are so important!

I feel so lucky to have my husband not just because he loves me and always makes me feel special. But, also because he loves our kids and bends over backwards to help me raise them and put in just as much work. So, I want to make sure we always make him feel special.

Read below to hear our easy tips for treating dad any time of the year, on a budget!

8 Easy Ways to Treat Dad on a Budget

1. Make His Favorite Dinner

Is food the way to dad’s heart? What a better way to show him appreciation than to make his favorite dinner.

I think it’s really cute to get the kids involved cooking the dinner and serving dad to make him feel more special!

2. Do His Chores

Don’t make dad do his chores on his special day. Again, get the kids involved and make sure all the trash is taken out, lawn is mowed, all those dad chores are done!

3. Help Save on the Budget

If you are a mom like me, you run a tight budget. Save some money in the budget to use for treating dad on his special day.

One easy place to save money is baby products like diapers. Diapers can be so expensive, but not if you know how to stock up using Amazon!

On Amazon you can get a large box of Huggies, Pull-Ups, or GoodNites for an amazing price

The boxes are huge and come with a lot of diapers so you don’t have to order again for a while. You can save even more by subscribing to diapers or clipping coupons.

Right now for Father’s Day save $3 on a box of Huggies

4. Take One for the Team (Baby Duty)

It’s wonderful having help with the baby, but taking care of a baby is hard work.

Make dad’s day extra special by taking over all the baby & kids work for the day. Changing the diapers, taking the night shift with the baby.

Let dad feel pampered while he gets some rest from parenting duties!

5. Plan a Date at Home

With a newborn baby we don’t get out on many dates.

Planning a date night at home is easy on the kids and the budget. After the baby and kids are in bed I can pull out some snacks and put on a movie for an in home date night.

6. Make Appreciation Cards

Round up the kids to make some appreciation cards for dad. Have them write and/or draw a picture of how much they love their dad.

Homemade cards don’t need to be extravagant. They can be as simple as folding some paper in half and getting out some crayons.

7. Let Him Choose for a Day

A great way to show dad some love is letting him choose everything for the day. What food does he want? What shows does he want to watch? What music does he want to listen to in the car?

Just let him choose today!

8. Show Him Some Love

Make sure you let him know with words how special he is as a father and husband.

Have your kids tell him how much they love him too! Shower dad with love all day.

What are some ideas you have for treating dad on a budget? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
