Are you looking for at home science activities to do with your kids?

Keeping my kids active during the summer is important to me. I don’t want my son to miss out on learning during that summer gap, so we try to find ways to learn during the summer that are fun too!

This summer we have been especially busy attending the summer reading program at our local library, going swimming, and finding educational activities to do at home.

Since my son loves science we thought we would try at home science activities with Science4Us.

At Home Science Activities With Science4Us!

Science4Us is an online platform for parents and kids with science courses to keep your kids learning all summer!

This summer we’ve been trying out some of the courses and have loved it.

It is really easy to get set up with a username for you and your child and get started on learning right away.

I was able to immediately log into my parents account and view the large selection of units, modules, lesson plans, and my son’s progress in the system.

From my parent account I was easily able to switch over to his student account where he could work on different modules and science activities.

I let Jonas choose what we would start with and he chose matter. He’s already been very interested in math and science this year so it wasn’t a surprise that he loved the course work.

The courses are bright and friendly with little cartoon characters to help you along the way. He worked on this independently and did very well.

I watched him as he worked through the course and the instructions were explained clearly with plenty of help. He loved the learning activities and games and actually learned a lot.

The material in the Science4Us courses is engaging and I was surprised that he was telling me science facts that he learned from it later in the day.

Science4Us States Of Matter Hands On (Offline) Activity

Science4Us has over 1,000 offline activities too and we were able to do one of them in our States of Matter module.

We did the “pour it” activity to further explore the states of matter. It was super easy to set up with things we already had at home.

First we got a pitcher of water, toy car, pie tin, coffee mug, and plastic cup.

We put the car in the different container and Jonas got to pour water over it.

We had a lot of fun with this activity and Jonas was really able to tell the difference of the shape of the car in the different containers. It looked especially cool in the plastic cup, which he studied for quite a while.

More About Science4Us

Science4Us is standards based and is in line with the state common core standards. It is used by homeschooling parents and traditional schools.

This is an interactive platform with online and offline activities. It is easy to set up at home and you can even access it through an app on your digital device.

Signing up is easy and starts at $7.95/month for 1 student.
