Easy Homemade Pineapple Whip Recipe

This post is sponsored by Smart & Final. All content is my own.

This summer stuck indoors has been tough for all of us, especially living in Southern California. We miss visiting the beach, Disneyland, and eating our favorite treats like pineapple whip!

We’ve been trying to recreate some of our favorite travel recipes at home. A great way to cool off and beat the heat with our favorite summer treats and have a little stay-cation fun.

One of my favorites that we recreated here was the pineapple Dole Whip from Disneyland. But, we put our own spin on this recipe making it budget friendly, quick, and easy.

Tips for Beating the Heat in the Summer

Where we live in Southern California the summer temperatures can climb up to the 100’s. On these hot days we have to have options to cool off and beat the heat with our kids.

Here are 5 tips to beat the heat:

  • Make a cold summer treat like the Pineapple Whip recipe below
  • Keep ice pops stocked in your freezer for the hottest days
  • Play in the water outside (Even if you don’t have a pool you’re kids will have so much fun just playing in the hose or sprinkler)
  • Bring an ice chest outdoors. If you are going on a hike or just playing outside with the kids make sure to have an ice chest with you stocked with cold drinks and snacks
  • Create some shade! Put up a tarp, plant a shade tree, or use a shade tent to create a shady space for your kids to play. Take note of what time of day your yard gets the most shade to beat the heat.

Smart & Final has everything you need to beat the heat this summer! Save on ingredients for your favorite summer recipe and cold drinks and treats to stock your ice chest with.
