How to Get Cash Back and Save Money with Rakuten

I’m always looking for ways to save money while raising my 3 kids. Today I’m going to do a deep dive on how to get cash back and save money with Rakuten.

When you’re on a budget every penny can stack up fast. With Rakuten you can earn cash back on shopping you are doing already, you can use this extra cash for gas money, coffee, or to help pay off debt.

Rakuten pays you a percentage of the cost of your online purchases at thousands of their listed stores. You can earn real money from them through check or PayPal.

How do you get cash back with Rakuten?

Rakuten makes it super easy to get cash back. Whenever you shop online just click through the Rakuten website and it gives you a percentage of cash back depending on where you shop.

They even have a cash back button for Google Chrome that you can put on your toolbar, which makes it even easier.

When you visit the Rakuten website you will see thousands of online stores that you can shop at to earn cash back. You’ll be sure to find several stores you regularly shop at already in categories like travel, baby, clothing, pets, electronics, food, and restaurants.

After you start purchasing items you’ll start getting checks every 3 months or so depending on how much cash back you’ve earned. This cash is either sent to you in a check or to your Paypal!

Saving Money Shopping with Rakuten

There are several other ways to save money using Rakuten when shopping. Make sure to check these out before you start shopping online.

Coupons and Promo Codes

Rakuten has coupons and promo codes listed on each brand page, as well as on their coupons page. Some of these coupons require a promo code (highlighted in purple) and others just give an instant discount when you click through the link. Expiration dates are listed too, which makes it convenient.

Daily Deals

Check Rakuten daily for special daily deals that will save you money and may earn you more cash back. This is really good for keeping track of sales from your favorite brands and earning more cash at the same time. I’ve found really good deals here saving hundreds of dollars or high percentage discounts.

Cash Back Events

When you join Rakuten keep an eye on your email. They have special cash back events every so often that will allow you to earn a higher percentage of cash back on your purchases so you can maximize your earnings.

Refer and Earn

Invite your friends to join Rakuten and earn even more cash rewards. Whenever one of your friends joins Rakuten and makes a purchase with your link you get $30!
