Staying Positive Through Holiday Stress

Do you find stress creeping in during the holidays?

There is a lot to be happy about and thankful for during the holidays. But, even the happiest mom can find themselves stressing over holiday shopping, hosting holiday parties, and keeping the kids entertained over holiday vacation.

I like doing little things to make sure I am staying positive during the holidays. Not only does this help me enjoy the holiday season even more, but it lightens the spirit of my family. When I’m happier my kids and husband are happier.

To help you get through those little holiday stresses I thought I’d share some tips on being the positive mom through holiday stress!

Staying Positive Through Holiday Stress

Get Shopping Out Of The Way

Get your holiday shopping out of the way as early as you can so you have time to worry about other things. In the past I have procrastinated my Christmas shopping until the week of Christmas. Going out and facing these crowds causes so much undo stress.

If you can try shopping online. This is an even better way to avoid holiday stress by taking crowds and having someone to watch your children out of the equation.

Plan Time For Mom

Make sure you are still setting aside time for yourself even though you might have kids home on holiday break. Set up some fun holiday dates with your husband. I love going to see the holiday movies that are in the theater or going to see the holiday lights for a date night during this time of year.

Have someone watch the kids so you can relax or have some uninterrupted time for wrapping presents, cooking, or shopping.

Staying Healthy and Energized

I like to take vitamins to make sure I’m staying balanced in my health. Keeping myself energized and preventing colds is a top priority. Who has time for a cold during  the holidays? †

Vitamin C and B12 are at the top of my list for being in tip top shape during the holidays.

Last week I went to Walmart to get all stocked up on Nature Made® vitamins for these winter months. They have great prices and a wide selection for everyone’s different needs! †

Nature Made® vitamins and supplements: An easy, convenient way to help your body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).†
