The CDC doesn’t recommend you put a mask on a child under age 2 because their is a risk of suffocation.
Masks should cover your child’s nose and mouth for the most effectiveness.
If you have a 2 or 3 year old, try making the experience fun with a character mask or print with something they really love.
Don’t force the mask on your toddler, just give it a try and see how they react. If they accept it try keeping it on them for a short walk around the block or around the house.
Add masks to their dress up clothes so they can experiment with them. If the mask is too loose try an adjustable mask. Some companies are making masks especially for little ones.
