Whatever your age, holiday baking is a fun and special time. One of my favorites to make are Lemon Snow Bars. An easy and light recipe that looks so pretty and wintry with powdered sugar on top.

Bars and cookies make perfect holiday gifts or party/potluck food because they look good and are really easy to stick into a pretty holiday container.

How do you make the best Lemon Snow Bars?

Lemon Snow Bars are a very simple holiday recipe to make. These light bars are great for gift giving or taking to a holiday party. The powdered sugar on top makes them look so pretty, like snow!

Here’s what you need to make them!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl stir together 1 cup flour and 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
  2. Mix in cut up pieces of butter until the mixture is sticking together
  3. Pat down into an ungreased 8×8 baking pan
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes
  5. In a separate bowl mix together sugar and lemon juice until it looks more thick and smooth
  6. In a small bowl stir flour and baking powder together, then mix into egg mixture
  7. Mix at medium speed until combined
  8. Pour egg mixture over baked layer
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes
  10. Sift powdered sugar over the top
  11. Cool for 20-30 minutes before cutting into bars
