Holiday stress has seemed to increase with more kids and a growing family.
As a busy mom I know the feeling all to well of getting consumed with presents, holiday meal planning, and holiday travel.
With everything going on it’s easy to take a minute to slow down and spend some quality time with the family. That’s what the holidays are all about right?
Easy Holiday Hacks for Moms
As we prepare for Thanksgiving, Black Friday, holiday shopping, travel, and the madness ahead I thought I would share some easy holiday hacks to make life less stressful.
Check out the tips below to easily manage your holiday stress this year!
DO Make a List – Make a list of all your holiday To-Do’s. Put things in your planner. Holiday stress makes it easy to forget things at the grocery store or when shopping for presents. So, making a list will save you the stress of having to run back out to the store.
DO Take a Break – With all the holiday chores mom needs a break! Get a sitter for a movie night with your husband, arrange for some me time, or a girls day out! Taking a break will leave you refreshed for the holiday stress ahead.
DON’T Overthink Dinner– Never overthink dinner! When the holidays get stressful it’s best to find things that you can set aside to stress about another day.
Whenever we get busy and dinner gets to be too much Red Baron pizza is my go-to.
Just yesterday we started packing and getting ready to travel for Thanksgiving. My kids were going wild last night and I was exhausted, so I made us some Red Baron pizza for dinner.
They are so easy to pop in the freezer and have a quick meal to pull out for the kids or holiday guests and the classic crust tastes great. We usually get a variety of Pepperoni and Supreme.
DON’T Over Pack – Holiday travel is always a stressful thing for me. Sometimes we find ourselves packing everything in the house. Things we don’t even need.
Save the stress by making a practical list of travel items you’ll need. Take only the necessities and you won’t have to worry about finding enough room in the car or forgetting things when it’s time to go home.
DON’T Go it Alone– If you’re a mom it’s never acceptable to go it alone. Get your kids and husband on board to help out with the holiday cooking, packing, planning, etc. Things get done faster and more stress free when you have a team working beside you!
