Delish Glazed Orange Cookies Recipe

Fall baking is the best with glazed orange cookies, chocolate cherry crunch, and pies!

We enjoy spending fall days baking cookies and treats, which are great for gift giving too during the holidays.

Orange cookies are really pretty and work great for a Christmas treat when holiday guests are visiting or as a gift.

I love how unique orange cookies are.

  • They are very fluffy and airy, heaven to bite into
  • Of course the orange flavor makes them unique
  • The glaze is unique too. You can see the and taste the orange zest and the flavor makes these cookies even more irresistible

How do you make orange flavoring for Orange Cookies?

The orange flavoring in my orange cookies comes from orange zest and orange juice.

It’s not too strong, but you can definitely taste that amazing orange flavor.

Can you use orange extract instead of orange zest?

I wouldn’t replace orange zest with orange extract. The extract is much stronger and the orange taste might be overpowering.

If you absolutely have to use orange extract use a very small amount and taste before adding more.

It’s important to stick to the recipe when you make these orange cookies.
