I’ve never been great at making bread. 

Probably because waiting for dough to rise takes a lot of patience.

…and nobody has time to wait for dough to rise. Haha

That’s why I love banana nut bread! It’s so easy to make and always comes out tasting so good.

When  making banana nut bread you want to use ripe bananas. The riper the better!
 
Ripe bananas have the best banana flavor for your banana nut bread.
 
Place your bananas in a brown paper bag to help them ripen more quickly.
 
Whenever we get bananas that are getting really soft and gross for the kids to eat I will make some homemade banana nut bread. That way it doesn’t go to waste and we have a yummy treat for breakfast.

Give loafs of banana bread as a gift for Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or in a care package.
 
You could make it during the spring for a breakfast side or for Easter or Mother’s Day brunch.

Making a loaf of the best homemade banana nut bread is not hard. You just need some soft bananas and some good walnuts or pecans for the best results.

1/2 Cup or one stick butter
1 cup sugar
Two eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
Three ripe bananas mashed
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Chopped walnuts or pecans
 
Instructions:
  1. Grease a loaf pan or three mini loaf pans. Preheat the oven to 350°
  2. With a mixer combine butter sugar and eggs
  3. Add in vanilla extract
  4. In a separate bowl whisk together flour baking soda and salt
  5. Mix Flour mixture in with the better mixture Until combined
  6. Mix and chopped Walnuts or Pecans
  7. Bake at 3:50° for 50-60 minutes
