As a work at home mom life can get pretty isolating. It’s easy to start feeling overwhelmed and discouraged.
I can only imagine what other moms go through. Whether they’re working from home or away or even just a stay at home mom.
This year join me in encouraging yourself to focus on YOU and your health and wellness. Check out my easy health and wellness goals below to get started.
Setting wellness goals is easy!
First you need to sit down and meditate on what your struggles are.
Which areas do you struggle with the most?
Are you getting enough rest? Is the laundry overwhelming?
Center your goals around the things that weigh on you most.
These wellness goals should be making your life easier!
Getting rest and sleep is important as a mom. Sometimes that’s not easy if you have little ones or if you’ve had a non-stop busy and stressful day.
We homeschool, so my kids have lots of extracurricular activities I have to take them to. I feel that soccer mom hustle as I tirelessly drive them around town for all their classes and activities.
Sometimes it can be hard to wind down at night after the business of the day. I really love Sleepytime’s wellness teas that are yummy with full flavors perfect for helping you wind down and get the rest you need.
I love them because I have a baby and they don’t make it so I can’t wake up in the middle of the night with him. But, they do help me relax before bed, so I can fall asleep.
I love the health benefits of each of these teas. Sleepytime Detox contains aloe, green rooibos and dandelion root to promote cleansing naturally.
Sleepytime Sinus Soother is perfect for winding down when you’re under the weather with respiratory comfort, uplifting menthol aroma and flavor. It contains soothing tulsi and nettle.
They also have a tea with Echinacea that is great for cold and flu season. All of these teas are gluten free, caffeine free, and are made without artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives.
You can find the whole collection of Sleepytime wellness teas at Walmart in the tea and coffee aisle.
Which tea are you most excited to try?
Meditating gives you time to figure out what it is you actually need to be focusing on and helps you create better goals. It also gives you time to reflect on the GOOD things in your life that should lift you up.
Make time at least once a day to sit in a quiet space and meditate on your goals and things you should be proud of.
Life can get so hectic that it’s easy to get caught up in the business of each day and go through the motions. Parenting can become so routine that we forget to spend intentional quality time with our family.
It’s great to make family time a priority through goals. Making a goal to spend at least 2 hours of quality time playing, reading, or going for a walk with your kids.
…or a goal to sit down for a family meeting each week to check in how everyone in your family is doing and make family goals with them.
After the New Year everyone is buzzing about cleaning and organization. It’s easy to get caught up in the madness then feel like you failed when you can’t find the time to get it all done.
Organization and cleaning can be broken up into easy more manageable goals. Make an easy organization goal like getting a room or closet organized this week or this month. These goals should be realistic to what you can get done in the time you have.
Stepping outside can feel so refreshing, especially if you are a stay at home mom.
Make it a goal to get outside daily for a walk or to do some gardening. You will feel so refreshed with the change of scenery and if you have little ones at home they will love the outside time with their mom too!
