Done For You Indoor Toddler Sensory Activities

Keeping a toddler busy is a gift, especially if it’s an activity that will keep them busy while you get some chores done or have some “me time”.

For busy moms it’s even better if these activities are done for you. But, luckily there are plenty of toddler kits that make sensory learning easy for mom including busy books and sensory bins.

My toddler days are behind me now. But, I’ve been around the block with 3 kids and I know how to keep little ones busy hours at a time so you can have some time too.

Read below for some of my favorite done for you toddler activities found on Amazon and more:

Toddler Busy Books

Busy books are great for hands on learning and motor skills. Some teach toddlers to take things out and put them in, button, open and close latches and more.

There are tons of options from wooden busy boards to felt books that you can take on the go.

Okay mamas if you aren’t ready to order a kit just yet I’ve got you covered. Here are some easy ways to keep them entertained with things you might already have laying around the house:

  • Play with Play-Doh: Set out a few tubs of Play-Doh on a table for a simple and engaging activity.
  • Do art projects: Organize simple art activities using materials you have at home, like crayons, paper, or finger paints.
  • Engage in sensory play: Create sensory bins with items like rice, beans, or water with a few toys for tactile exploration.
  • Cook together: Involve your toddler in simple cooking activities, which can be both fun and educational.
  • Build with blocks: Play with building blocks together, constructing towers or simple structures.
