Whenever you are outdoors with your kids the sun should be something you consider. Even if it’s overcast outside sunburns can still occur.
Here are some of the reasons it is important for me to use sunscreen outdoors with the kids:
- I don’t want them experiencing the pain associated with sunburns
- The Skin Cancer Foundation warns that only 5 sunburns by the age of 20 increases the chance for developing skin cancer by 80%
- Applying sunscreen doesn’t take much time and is a great preventative tool
- I want to teach my kids the importance of using sunscreen at a young age, so they continue to use it
Choosing a Quality Sunscreen for Your Kids
Of course when choosing sunscreen for my kids, something that can possibly prevent skin cancer, I want it to be high quality.
This is one investment that is worth it because it’s potentially life saving!
When looking for sunscreen I’m going to use on my kids I want something that:

- Isn’t rough on my children’s sensitive skin
