Laundry is my weakness. I’ll be honest, most days are hard for me to keep up.

Often times I wake up to a huge pile of laundry that seems never ending. Usually I fold to the bottom of the pile, determined to get it all done. Only to find that my pile reappears with the next load.

But, even with my laundry struggles, I’ve found some ways to make doing laundry easier. 5 Ways to Reduce Laundry Overwhelm

5 Ways to Reduce Laundry Overwhelm

That’s the key, make it easier on yourself. Doing whatever it takes to take some of the “load” off your back.

Eventually laundry will become less of a burden. Won’t it be nice to have more time to stress about other important things?

If you’re struggling with laundry pay attention to these 5 ways to reduce laundry overwhelm!

  1. Hire Someone to Help

If you can afford it why not hire someone to help. Pay a friend, family member, neighbor, or low cost maid service to come in. They can get the bulk of your laundry done once or twice a week.

  2. Put it on Your Chore Chart

Delegate your laundry duties to your chore chart. Have the kids get involved washing, folding, and putting things away. Ask your husband to pitch in too! The laundry belongs to everyone after all.

  3. Multi-Task

Put on some music or your favorite TV show and zone out into folding. Sometimes this helps take your mind of the task at hand. You’ll be surprised how much laundry can get folded during a 40 minute show!

  4. Plan a Laundry Day

Something that helps with laundry overwhelm is making a plan to get all your laundry done on a certain day. That way it won’t feel like it’s taking over your daily life. Again you can have your family get in on laundry day and help with the folding and putting away.

  5. Invest in a High Quality Washer and Dryer

Having a high quality washer and dryer can really go a long way in helping make laundry easier on mom.

5 Ways to Reduce Laundry Overwhelm

LG has great front load products available at Best Buy that do just that! Not only do their front load dryers get your clothes dryer, but they are also easier on clothes making them last longer. You even have the option of washing two loads at once with the sidekick compatibility! 5 Ways to Reduce Laundry Overwhelm

It’s always a great time to invest in things that make life as a mother easier!

How do you handle laundry overwhelm? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
