When I was little our boating excursions were few and far between. But, I always look back on my boating memories as some of my fondest.
I definitely want my kids to have some boating memories of their own. We will definitely be planning a boating experience with them this summer or next!

Fishing
Whether you are traveling or taking a stay-cation there is bound to be a fishing location close to you. Fishing can be a great bonding experience to have with your kids. You don’t have to be a fishing pro either. It’s a great skill to learn with along with your kids!

Salt Water Fishing
If you want to get a little more adventurous, salt water fishing is a great place to start. I have fond memories of fishing with my grandfather off the pier and by boat. I remember loving to look at the vast ocean on the boat and spend quality time with my grandparents and family.

With salt water fishing your kids will get the experience of seeing the ocean from a different point of view. It’s also fun looking out for wildlife while you are on the boat; like seals, dolphins, and whales.

Water Sports
Summer is the best time for introducing your kids to water sports. Water skiing, wake boarding, and tubing are just a few of the ways you can have fun in the water while boating.
These activities can create a day full of fun as well as life long memories. I love activities that get my kids outdoors and active during the summer.
