Ingredients:
- 1 lb macaroni noodles cooked according to box instructions
- 1 jar Otamot Essential Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups of whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbs flour
- 2 tbs butter
- 1 tbs olive oil
- shredded parmesan
- salt to taste
Instructions:
- In a large skillet melt butter and whisk in olive oil
- Whisk in flour to make a roux (this should take about 10 seconds)
- Gradually whisk in milk to your desired thickness (add more milk if you want the sauce to be thinner)
- Stir in cheese until it’s melted and combined in the sauce
- Add in tomato sauce and stir until combined
- Combine sauce with cooked macaroni noodles
- Add salt to taste
Can I make Tomato Mac and Cheese into a casserole?
Yes! If you want your Tomato Mac and Cheese to be crispier and in a casserole add the macaroni noodles to a casserole dish.
Top with a cheese and panko mixture and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
If your kids are anything like mine they might not want anything added to their Macaroni and Cheese. I always try to give them the plain first then ask if they are okay with me adding more.
