This post is sponsored by Smart & Final, my favorite place to get bulk items for party appetizers like BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos. All content is my own!
I love making my BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos for special occasions like Father’s Day.
Nachos are a great appetizer that really could serve as the main dish if they are loaded with yummy toppings.
BBQ Nachos have to be my favorite. We are big fans of sweet and savory dishes around here!
What can I make for Father’s Day?
Nachos are the perfect main dish for Father’s Day weekend.
Shopping at my local Smart & Final for Father’s Day makes me remember prepping for Father’s Day and special occasions with my late grandma.
She always loved their bulk food items and fresh produce for cooking. I still feel like I’m shopping with her when I go to Smart & Final to shop for special occasions.
Smart & Final’s fresh produce is great for Nachos and I love buying their bulk chips and cheese because they are cheaper than they are at a regular super market and my boys eat a LOT! Including dad.
…Where are my boy moms?
Nachos are great appetizers for many occasions including
- Father’s Day
- Graduation Celebrations
- Game Day
- Birthday Parties
- Family Movie Night

How do you keep nachos from getting soggy?
Keep your nachos from getting soggy by baking them and properly draining any wet toppings you might use.
Serve wet condiments like salsa and sauces on the side for people to self serve.
What chips are best for nachos?
My favorite nacho chips are large white corn tortilla chips. Smart & Final has really good First Street tortilla chips that come in large bags. Perfect for nachos!
If you’re in a rush like I usually am. Save some time by ordering your chips and other ingredients from Smart & Final with online purchase and delivery!
Do nachos have lettuce?
You can definitely add lettuce to your nachos, but you don’t have to.
Nachos are so versatile. I don’t add lettuce to my BBQ nacho recipe below, but could add it or put it on the side for guests to build their own nachos!
BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos Ingredients
- Large bag tortilla chips (We used First Street White Corn Tortilla Chips from Smart & Final)
- 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (Add more if you love cheesy nachos!)
- Cooked Pulled Pork (This is so easy, I just put a pork shoulder roast in the pressure cooker with 4 cups of Dr. Pepper for 2 hours then shred it. You can buy precooked pulled pork or cook it all day in a crock pot.)
- 1/2 chopped red onion
- 1 sliced jalepeno
- fresh chopped cilantro
- BBQ Sauce
- sour cream
Instructions:
- On a sheet pan or in a cast iron skillet layer your chips, cheese, pork, red onion, and jalapeno’s
- Drizzle BBQ sauce over the top
- Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with sour cream
