I’ve been raising my family on a budget for a long time. I had my first baby before I turned 21 years old and know the hustle of searching the internet for free samples just to scrape by each month.

Finding legit free samples online is totally possible. I’ve done it and still do! The great thing about them is you don’t even have to leave your living room couch and most companies will send these freebies to you by mail.

Most free samples require you to sign up for an email newsletter or fill out a short and easy form. Some come with coupons, swag bags, and some require a little extra work like doing surveys or paying a small shipping fee.

This post may contain affiliate links. All content is my own.

I wanted to make resources available to moms like me who are searching for all the samples. I hope this is a one stop shop for you to find all the samples online and that they help you out like they helped me!

Read on for free stuff! Oh, and check out these dog freebies and free baby stuff too!

Oh, and just like my other sample pages I will make sure to update with new samples, so make sure to come back and check for new additions to this list.

How did I choose which samples to share?

I scour through free samples and discounts to find legit freebies to share with my readers. These samples are the real deal and are being claimed every day. So, don’t miss your chance to get them too.

Many of these freebies are items I’ve claimed myself for my own family. Even the ones that require a payment for shipping are usually a good deal. Make sure to check out the samples cheat sheet below to easily figure out the requirements for getting each sample.

Can I get free stuff while I’m pregnant or for my baby?

Raising a baby can create so many new expenses. Diapers, wipes, and formula to name a few. There are so many brands that give free baby samples that we’ve created our own master list >>> Free Baby Stuff

Don’t forget the costs that come with being pregnant and postpartum recovery find out how to get free samples for expecting mothers.

Other Ideas to get Free Stuff

If you are looking for ways to get samples beyond just these online deals, here are some ideas for getting things for free.

  1. Dumpster Diving– Have you seen YouTuber’s dumpster diving at high end stores and homes to find amazing free things? If you haven’t look it up… it’s fun to watch. I guess in certain states this is totally legal… and finder’s keepers. Sometimes people leave large valuable items next to their dumpsters and trash cans waiting for people to claim. Let me know in the comments if you’ve found free stuff this way.
  2. Metal Detector Hunting– Similar to dumpster diving there is a community of people who find things by hunting with a metal detector. Do some online research to find out what areas near you are best for metal detecting. You just may find some treasure.
  3. Facebook Groups and Online Communities– Offer Up, Facebook mom groups/ buy nothing groups (search these on FB), Craigslist, and Nextdoor are great places to find free items. Sometimes you can even post an ISO (In search of) message in groups to let people know that you’re searching for a certain item. Many times in these groups people are willing to trade or give things away for free.
  4. Warehouse memberships– Take advantages of free samples they give away, usually on weekends, at your local warehouse stores. Find a great deal on a Costco membership HERE and BJ’s membership HERE! I’ve gotten laundry detergent, trash bag, formula, and diaper samples at Costco that really helped our family.
  5. Yard Sales– Check out local yard and estate sales for freebie boxes of things people just want to get rid of.
  6. Family Members– Do you know a family member or friend who is planning to move or have a yard sale? Ask if you can have first dibs to things they don’t want. This is a great way to get hand me down clothes for your kids. Let your family know that you are open to hand me downs so they know to offer it to you.
  7. Email Lists– Subscribe to email lists for your favorite brands. Sometimes they will send samples, especially baby companies like formula and diapers. Either way you will probably get discounts or some cool coupons.
  8. Swap Meets– It might be harder to find free things at swap meets, but you can usually find things for dirt cheap and it’s helpful when you are on a budget!
  9. BOGO deals– Although you have to pay for BOGO deals, you are getting something for free in the end. Sometimes this ends up to be a great deal when you are getting things you were already planning on buying.
  10. Coupons– Clip coupons from your local paper, magazines, and couponing sites. Sometimes brands will put out coupons for free product they want you to try.
  11. Giveaways– Entering sweepstakes and giveaways used to be my jam! I had a whole system I would use to organize my giveaways and enter daily. I would mostly use Sweepstakes Advantage. But, this is a great way to get free stuff. I won a washer and dryer, guitar, cash, gift cards, and lots of little freebies.

How much money can I actually save getting free samples?

If you apply for all the samples I listed above and use the tips I’ve listed in this blog post, you can actually save quite a bit of money getting free samples.
