Finding fun and healthy back to school treats for your kiddos can be difficult. I’ve been loving experimenting on healthy foods they love and this week we made Frozen Yogurt Banana Pops that are quick and easy to put together.
It’s hot here in Southern California so it’s nice to have a frozen treat to give my kids after school! I make these yummy pops with greek yogurt and they eat them up like ice cream.

What is the best type of yogurt to use for banana pops?
Greek yogurt always turns out better for me when making these pops. It’s thicker, so it sticks to the banana’s better.
To be honest, my kids really like the taste of greek yogurt better and they really love it when I use vanilla or honey flavored yogurt.
How can I make the best frozen banana pops for kids?
These Greek Yogurt Banana Pops can be frozen a few hours before serving or made the night before. It is so easy to make them and you can even get your kids in on the fun.
I like to make these pops with my kids because it makes them more excited about eating them when they are finished. Kids learn so much in the kitchen too!
It’s so fun to put the sprinkles on top, you could also use mini chocolate chips, nuts, or coconut flakes!
Ingredients:
- 4 Bananas (not too ripe)
- Greek Yogurt (Experiment with different flavors, we used vanilla)
- Sprinkles
- Skewers or Popsicle Sticks
Instructions:
- Cut your bananas in halves. If you use 4 bananas you’ll end up with 8 halves, but you can always add more bananas if you’d like to make a larger batch.
- Skewer each banana half with a skewer or popsicle stick. Be careful here, sometimes they will fall apart. That’s where it’s good to not get them too ripe so they will stay together.
- Dip each banana in the Greek Yogurt so it’s coated in yogurt. This part is a little messy, I found that you have to dip them with your hands or they fall apart, so you end up with yogurt covered hands in the end.
- Lay them on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper.
- Sprinkle your sprinkles on top. We used Unicorn Sprinkles for these!
- Freeze for at least 2 hours then serve.
Frozen Yogurt Banana Pops
These fun frozen Unicorn Greek Yogurt Banana Pops make the perfect after school frozen treats for kids. Use your favorite flavor of Greek Yogurt to make this a fun snack to make along with your kids after school. Vanilla or honey yogurt go perfectly with this!
