Have you sat down to think about the New Year yet?

My mind is usually so caught up in Christmas festivities that it is easy to forget that we are getting ready for a new year. With that comes planning and goals.

I’m really big on planning things out. I usually have a routine and don’t like it when that daily routine gets interrupted. But, even for me, sometimes motherhood gets hectic and that planning falls to the wayside.

One of the most important things on my mind in December, when I get a chance to sit down and plan, is my health, and my families health. I want to make sure we are being proactive and making plans for our health in the New Year because, a healthy family is a happy family. Right!?

Be Proactive With Your Health Before the New Year

Why You Should Be  Proactive About Your Health Before The New Year

Not only do we usually make New Year’s resolutions/goals for our individual and family health, it is also the time for open enrollment. This is a great time to get proactive about your health because you will be deciding on the health care plan your family will receive for the next year.

This is a decision I personally don’t take lightly. Last year our son got very ill and ended up having to be hospitalized for an evening. We were so thankful for our insurance in that moment and take it even more seriously now.

Getting Assistance With Open Enrollment

Since I feel so strongly about knowing your health insurance options, I think it’s important to let others know the resources available to help.

Signing up for or renewing your health insurance can seem complicated, but there is help available. Different insurance companies, such as Anthem Blue Cross, have great support options available to help you decide on the plan that is right for your family and answer any questions you might have.

Being proactive with your health insurance is something that is beneficial to you and your family, so that you have the coverage you need when someone gets sick or medical emergencies arise.

It’s great to take advantage of the advice that is available to us, so we know we are getting the health insurance we need for our families!

Get the help you need with open enrollment today!

Are you getting ready to choose a health plan for open enrollment? What health goals do you have for your family this year? I would love to hear from you in the comments below!
