Don’t you love healthy snacks that taste delicious?

A few weeks ago we welcomed a newborn baby boy to our family. So, during my postpartum recovery I’ve been trying out some new treats that are healthier.

It feels so good to come up with healthy alternatives to some of my favorite snacks. Especially when eating healthier carries over to my baby.
Through my pregnancy I developed anemia and was always craving ice and ice pops. I thought, why not make a healthy icy treat that would satisfy this craving?

My husband and son love Almond milk, so I used it to recreate one of our favorite snacks, creamsicles!

We love So Delicious almondmilk vanilla with cashew because it’s organic, so creamy, and flavorful. It’s easy to find in the dairy section at Walmart for a great price!

It really is a great milk substitute for a lot of recipes. The vanilla flavor with cashew is especially good to use in sweet treats!

Vegan | Gluten Free Creamy Orange Pops

Since I love orange creamsicles we recreated them into our own orange cream pops using So Delicious almondmilk with vanilla.
One of the things I love about this recipe is that it’s super easy to make, it’s healthier than regular cream pops, and works for any family and friends that are on a vegan and/or gluten free diet.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • 2 Cups  So Delicious almondmilk – Vanilla flavor makes these so yummy!
  • 1 Cup Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  •  1 Tbs. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tbs. Honey
  • 1 Cup Frozen Sliced Strawberries
  • Small paper cups
  • Popsicle sticks

Here’s What to do

  1. Cut up and freeze strawberries ahead of time or use frozen sliced strawberries (my kids like these in their pops, but you don’t have to add them)
  2. Blend the almondmilk, orange juice, vanilla extract, and honey for about a minute on high speed
  3. Fill small paper cups about halfway full with mixture
  4. Add a few strawberries to each cup
  5. Place a popsicle stick into each cup (I used parchment paper to hold the sticks in the center of the pops)
  6. Freeze for about 2 hours

These pops are so yummy and come out easily if you squeeze the base of the cup a little. I think it’s super easy to make these in paper cups, but you can use any popsicle mold.

Did you try these creamy orange pops? I would love to hear what you think in the comments below!

Thus sounds delicious. After I had my son he developed an allergy to dairy, wheat and soy. This would have been an awesome treat for me to eat. His allergies are all gone now but I still will have to try this!
