For as long as I can remember my son has always asked “Mom, will you read with me?” every night before he falls asleep. This is something that I’ve always loved doing. But, after 7 years of him being the only child I have to admit it’s gotten more challenging.
Do your kids ever burn out during the school day?
School is long and demanding for young kids. Especially during those adjustment periods after summer and holiday breaks.
Even after having had two babies I still feel like some preparation must be done for breastfeeding your new baby.
Are you expecting your first or have you been there before?
Breastfeeding can definitely bring a new set of challenges with each birth.
With our first baby I had trouble building supply and met with countless lactation specialists before the problem was solved. Severe jaundice made it so our second baby couldn’t stay awake to nurse and had to be supplemented with formula to stay healthy for the first few weeks.
Preparing to bring a new baby into your home when you still have a little one under 3 years old can be scary.
I’m sure you’ve had thoughts of how you are going to juggle two little ones, give enough attention to both, potty train one while you are breastfeeding the other, and being there to put them both to bed.
We are currently expecting baby number 3 and will have 2 babies under age 3, which I’m sure will bring many challenges. All of the thoughts I mentioned above have definitely crossed my mind.
Excited as we are about bringing a new baby home I can’t help but have just a little bit of anxiety about how we I am going to keep my new baby and 2 year old mama’s girl happy.
