Are your growing teens always hungry? My son just turned 13 and I can hardly keep the fridge stocked, so I am always on the lookout for easy lunch hacks that can keep him and his friends fed.

Not to mention every other member of the household.

It can be frustrating keeping up with a teens appetite. Always opening the pantry, fridge, and freezer to find they’ve already eaten all the snacks and lunch options.

Read on to find out one of my favorite hacks for keeping teens fed during lunch at home.

How can I keep my teenager fed for lunches at home?

The real key to keeping your teen fed during lunchtimes at home is to keep your freezer stocked with items they love. Even better if you can find one of their favorites in bulk, so it doesn’t run out quickly.

Our son loves José Olé® Taquitos, which are new at Walmart. These are great because each box comes with a lot to last throughout the week. There are different flavors and you can mix it up with yummy toppings and dip.

If you are a busy mom and like doing grocery order or pick-up at Walmart they are super easy to find online when placing your order.

His two favorite flavors are José Olé® Chicken & Cheese Taquitos and Beef Taquitos. Their Chicken and Cheese Taquitos come in flour tortillas and the beef come in corn tortillas. Which is great for changing things up during the week.

They are also delicious and full of flavor, which is an added bonus. I love them and my younger kids do too. Plus, it’s an easy go-to when friends or cousins come to visit.

Whether you are homeschooling this year or heading back to in-person classes these are great for after school snacks or lunch at home.

Tips for Cooking Your José Olé Taquitos

José Olé Taquitos are the easiest to make. You can either cook them in the oven or microwave. Each of these options is under 20 minutes, which is a win for mom.

What is great about these taquitos is all the toppings and dips you can use to change things up for lunches.

Here are a few toppings and dips we love:

  • Lime juice
  • Guacamole
  • Avocado
  • Salsa
  • Pico De Gallo
  • Queso Fresco
  • Sour Cream
  • Cilantro

Enter to win with José Olé

José Olé is running an awesome back to school rebate and text to win promotion where you can win you can win cool prizes including Walmart gift cards.

When you are shopping for your José Olé Taquitos keep this great deal in mind. Get $1.50 cash back with Ibotta at Walmart while supplies last
