How to Make Long Family Walks Fun! (1)

This post was sponsored by Evenflo as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received the Evenflo Sibby Travel System to facilitate my review.

Going on long family walks is just one of the ways we create family bonding time.

It’s always nice in the evenings or weekends to get outdoors with our kids and take a walk in nature. We always try to find ways to make these walks fun for the kids, which is great because we are creating fun memories at the same time.

Find a Perfect Location

Do you have a beautiful trail or park close to where you live?

We have a huge park that is close to our house that is perfect for long walks. It is right next to a river and there are peacocks, ducks, geese, and a huge group of feral cats at this park. So there are always things for our kids to look at.

Since we have a toddler it’s location is perfect. We can pop over right before bedtime and don’t have a long drive back and forth.

This is a fun location because we know our kids love to see/feed the ducks, walk over the bridges, and visit the different playgrounds. There is also enough space in this park for us to take an easy 20-30 minute walk.

Do Something Fun As You Walk

We usually bring bread to throw to the ducks as we pass them. Our kids get the biggest kick out of this.

It’s fun to play little games while we walk like I Spy. This gets them really looking at their surroundings trying to see what we see.

Lately we have been taking Pokemon Go! with us everywhere. There is a Pokemon Gym at this park and searching for Pokemon as we walk has been fun for my son and I have to admit, fun for me too!

Keep Your Kids Comfortable

Little legs get tired fast. We just got our Evenflo Sibby Travel System and it’s great for these long walks with our toddler.

It has an awesome large storage in the bottom for her diaper bag, water bottles, and snacks we take on our walks. There is also a cup holder on the side!

I can tell Juliana loves the beautiful purple color. She loves getting in her stroller and gets all happy when I prop her feet up in it so she can kick back and relax.

There is even a ride along board in the back, so Jonas can hop on when he gets tired. He is extremely tall for his age, but the ride along board was perfect for him and the stroller rode smoothly during our walk.

I can’t wait to try out the Sibby Travel System with the ride along board when we are in San Diego next month and when we are out with our little nephew. I’m sure he will really love it riding along with his cousin.

This stroller is a great option if you have more than one kid in tow. It is much less bulky than a double stroller and fits perfectly in our small trunk.

You can find the Evenflo Sibby Travel System at Target!

Thank you! It is a great stroller. Before I got it I was having so much trouble fitting our jogging stroller into my trunk. This one is easy to just grab and go. ;)

Hi Sabina! We, luckily, haven’t had many mosquitos around this year. But, it is a great thing to have when we do. :)
