I always remember a fun Christmas growing up. 🎅 That holiday magic was alive and I couldn’t ever sleep while I waited for Santa the night before.
Do you have those magical childhood memories too?
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about this. My kids are at the age where the holidays are really magical to them.
But, there have been those stressful holidays. Where I don’t feel the magic myself, so it’s hard to bring it alive for the kids.
I’m sure many of you who struggle with stress, anxiety, or depression know where I’m coming from.
…and Christmas can bring a lot of stress right? We have to entertain people, budget for gifts, and meet expectations.
Even though it’s stressful for me I want to make sure my kids are still feeling the magic of the holidays.
While thinking about the magic of Christmas during my childhood I couldn’t help but think of how my mood during the holidays set the tone for my kids.
I’m sure that the way we feel during the holidays effects how magical it is for our kids. They really seem to pick up on those things.
If you deal with this here are some ways to manage it and make a fun and happy Christmas for your kids.
